Year 7

At the beginning of Term 1, students participated in their Year 7 Retreat which focused on their identity as children of God. They looked at individuals in our world who live a life of greatness and were asked to reflect on how they are also called to greatness. In connecting with our College theme, students created prayer bracelets centred on their fears and were asked to keep their peers in their prayers this year.

Students ending their retreat experience with a meditation on the Stations of the Cross.

Year 12

The Year 12 Retreat took place last week and focused on how our students can be people of integrity as they rotated through four different sessions. They were given an opportunity to reflect on the memories that they have shared with each other and they were asked to write a gratitude letter to someone who has influenced them in a positive way and supported them throughout their life.

Faith Club

Our St Joseph Faith Club team have been focusing on the 3 pillars of Lent and in particular almsgiving. During break time the students worked together to make care packages which entailed numerous essential items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, sanitary items and tissues. Each care package was accompanied with a personalised written note and will be distributed though Maronites on Mission to those who need it most within Melbourne.
