Last Friday, August 21st, the Foundation students had a visit from Miss Anita, from the Little Wombats Program. She taught us about Australia’s Indigenous people and about some of their culture, instruments, hunting tools and games. We got to see and touch kangaroo and possum skins, which are used to make traditional clothes, blankets and even a football, called marngrook. We also saw and touched emu feathers, tapping sticks and a boomerang. It was very interesting to learn more about Australia’s Indigenous people.
