Year 11 virtual Zoo excursion

Tuesday, September 08, 2020

This week, the Year 11 Psychology students attended a virtual excursion hosted by Zoos Victoria. In Unit 2, students are currently focusing on - how are people influenced to behave in particular ways? Students were able to examine the effectiveness of a community conservation project called ‘Don’t Palm Us Off’, which encourages group behaviour around the use of palm oil. This webinar allowed students to further explore how the tri-component model of attitudes influence and shapes behaviour in a real-life context. The Year 11 students represented the College with pride and demonstrated their knowledge in front of 98 attendees. The presenter was blown away with our students' ideas, often acknowledging them live in the webinar.
