Year 6A and 6C Eve of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

Tuesday, September 13, 2022

The Exaltation of the Holy Cross is an important day in our Maronite faith. St Helena set out to find the true cross, and when she did, the people lit bonfires from Jerusalem to Constantinople so that she could find her way home and bring back the true cross with her. Similarly, in 6A and 6C today, we lit candles to find our own way back home, back to our faith and back to our God. It was a peaceful time spent mediating together, reflecting on the crosses that we carry in our everyday lives and how we can find our way back to the light.
