Spiritus: A Faith Formation Journey at Our College
Our College is involved in the Spiritus Program—a dynamic initiative supporting students’ faith journey from Year 5 to Year 12. Spiritus fosters belonging, leadership, and service, helping students grow in their understanding and experience of faith.
Introducing Spiritus
The Spiritus Program was introduced to our Principal Ms Joanne Bacash during her Faith Formation experience in Rome with the De La Salle Academy at Australian Catholic University in 2024. Inspired by its mission, Ms Bacash proposed its adoption as part of our College’s Catholic Identity goals.
Faith Formation in Action
While Religious Education provides foundational knowledge of Catholic teachings, scripture, and tradition, Spiritus builds on this by focusing on formation—encouraging students to:
Experience faith in action
Encounter God personally
Grow in discipleship
At its heart, Spiritus is about living the kerygma—God’s unconditional love and the invitation to follow Jesus.

Our Commitment
The Spiritus Program helps students move from learning about faith to living faith. By focusing on formation and the kerygma, it nurtures young people to become disciples who know Jesus personally and share His message with others.
