The 2022 theme, Dreaming with eyes open… - reminds us that reading is a way of dreaming while we are awake. Well-written stories will stimulate the imagination and allow a reader to dream themselves into a book. They can travel to other places and times and into imaginary worlds.

A dream can act as a tool for change or be an inspiration. Reading about inspiring characters can encourage young people to take on a challenge in their lives. They can dare to dream.

Quick countdown reminder: Book Week dress up day is in five weeks. Students can dress as a book character, or someone/something related to the theme. Start planning your costume now. Check out these websites for costume ideas:-
