On Wednesday, 29 July, our Year 9–10 girls proudly represented the College at the SACCSS AFL Tournament. Throughout the day, the team played four competitive games, including an exciting semi-final match.
Although the girls were unfortunately defeated in the semi-final, they demonstrated impressive talent, resilience and determination across every game. Many of the students had never played competitive AFL before, making their achievement of reaching the finals even more impressive. The team showed great courage, never gave up and consistently attacked the ball with enthusiasm and determination.
A special thank you goes to Ms Hartnup, who coached the girls throughout the tournament and did an amazing job supporting, encouraging and guiding the team.
We are incredibly proud of all the girls for their teamwork, sportsmanship and willingness to challenge themselves. They represented the College with pride and should be congratulated on a fantastic tournament.
