This term in Art, our Year 5 students have been learning about cultural dances from around the world. They explored how dance works and studied key elements such as actions, space, time, and the ways movements can be combined to create a complete performance.
Students also discovered how important dance is within many cultures. Through our lessons, they learned that dance can be used to tell stories, express ideas, and keep traditions alive.
Students used movement creatively to communicate meaning and ideas and were excited to perform their dances during school assembly.
It has been a wonderful term of learning, exploring, and creating.
