On Wednesday 22nd July, year 3 students were excited to welcome Adam Wallace, the talented author and illustrator. Adam introduced students to the world of narrative writing, sharing how stories begin with simple ideas and grow into exciting adventures. He encouraged everyone to use their imagination and showed different ways to come up with creative story ideas. Students enjoyed learning about illustration and how facial expressions, body language, and small details can help characters show emotion and bring stories to life. Adam shared some of his own drawing techniques and demonstrated how illustrations work together with words to engage readers.
The highlight of the visit was that every student received a signed copy of one of Adam's books to take home as a reminder of such an inspiring day.
We hope Adam's visit encourages our young writers and artists to keep creating, reading, and sharing their own stories!
