During Term 3, Year 4 students researched volcanoes which included designing models that simulate volcanic eruptions as part of their Inquiry unit on ‘Natural Disasters’. There was also a specific focus on the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD which destroyed the cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. It was amazing to witness all the volcanoes erupting and for students to share their knowledge of specific volcanoes around the world.
