Year 9 making Black Bean Chocolate Brownies

Our Year 9 students have been researching food allergies and intolerances and in connection to this, took part in a practical cooking class where they prepared chocolate brownies made from black beans in place of flour. This practical was aimed at exploring the idea of ingredient substitution in common recipes to cater for dietary needs. 

Although students were not so confident in what the result may be, they were all pleasantly surprised at how delicious the chocolate brownies were!
