Our Mathematics workshops continue to be a highly engaging and valuable part of our learning program from Year 7-9. During these sessions students participate in a range of interactive activities, focusing on developing deep mathematical thinking through games and problem-solving.
The games we use are designed to challenge students’ mathematical reasoning, encourage collaboration and build confidence with key numeracy skills. Rather than simply practising procedures; students are exploring patterns, testing strategies and justifying their thinking.
Maths workshops occur once a fortnight and I encourage students to share and play these games at home with family members.
We look forward to continuing to build students’ curiosity and confidence in Mathematics through these sessions.
