Year 11 Biology Experimental Design

As part of their final outcome for Unit 1 Biology students were required to design and conduct their own experimental investigation. Once they had decided upon an area to investigate they needed to design their method, looks at any risks, request any equipment, conduct their experiment and then complete a thorough write-up. Students chose to investigate such things as do different types of bread grow mould at different rates, how do our bodies react when placed in cold and hot situations, does caffeine affect plant growth, what effect does different style of video clips have on heart rate and does rate of exercise affect heart rate and blood pressure to name a few.
