Year 12 Physics day at Luna Park

The Year 12 Physics students attended an excursion at Luna Park on Friday 8th March 2024.
The VCE Physics days at Lunar Park are conducted and organised every year by VicPhysics.
The day was attended by approximately 900 students from all schools across Victoria. The students were divided in groups, each group was allocated its own ride sequence. The rides included Ferris wheel and the carousel, power surge, twin dragon, spider, enterprise, scenic railway, speedy beetle, dodgem cars and supernova. While participating in the rides, the students used technology to collect data about the motion of each ride such as the speed and acceleration then they used the data collected to answer questions about the rides and to write a report about their experience in each ride.
The day was an enjoyable learning experience for the Year 12 Physics students.
