Year 7 and 8 STEM students recently had a fantastic opportunity to take part in the Mission Control program hosted by Science Gallery in Melbourne. The event kicked off with a lively debate among students on the crucial question of which resources and industries would be most essential once human beings establish a presence on Mars. Following the debate, the students engaged in a Mars Mission design thinking challenge, where they creatively tackled the complexities of planning a mission to the Red Planet using LEGO bricks. This hands-on and interactive experience not only sparked their imagination but also deepened their understanding of STEM concepts while fostering teamwork and problem-solving skills.
