Year 8 Science Experiments
Wednesday, June 26, 2024
In their science practical class, Year 8 students at St Joseph's Campus engaged in a sheep's heart dissection. With the help of their Science teachers, Ms O’Meara, Ms Nasr and Mr Mourtzios, they carefully observed the anatomy, exploring chambers, valves, and blood vessels with fascination and curiosity. Hands-on learning took centre stage as they wielded scalpels and probes, uncovering the intricate structures that facilitate circulation and life itself. Students were able to deepen their understanding of biological principles and aided in writing a practical report. This immersive experience not only enriched their scientific knowledge but also fostered a profound appreciation for the complexities of the natural world.
